'Tis very dark, Ron, but real. It definitely cycles back in on itself at the end very nicely. Sometimes I wish I had more hope for mankind, but it's thoughts like you've written into your poem that make it hard to reach for hope. If that makes any sense. It's like a pattern, or a soul plague that constantly whispers into mankind's ear, "Destroy, destroy, destroy yourself."

Of course, being the Battlestar Galactica nerd that I am, I was reminded of the final five's experience on Cylon Earth, when Galen found the impression of his shadow left by the flash of nuclear fallout in the marketplace. Anything that reminds me of BSG is awesome in my book. :)

Good stuff, Ron. Full of great imagery. I read it several times just to have them sink in real good and because I thoroughly enjoyed the piece. Thank you for sharing.
