Between … is a blog of interests and distractions to the owner, Ron Earl Phillips. Occassionally you’ll find useful essays or reviews dealing with a variety of subjects from family to reading to writing. There may even be some original art when the spirit inspires the owner. About the Owner, Ron Earl Phillips
Ron hates the name Earl. It’s true and can’t be helped, however, it is part of his name and to some degree makes him unique from others who might be named Ron Phillips. Save for of course his father, a globe-trotting antiques dealer, who felt he should honor his son with the shared experience of having such a name. Thusly compounding the effect of Earl by the appending of “junior.” Ron has long dropped that portion of his name and ironically embraced Earl. Plus it makes for the nifty pseudo eponymous domain RonEarl.com for which you will find all extensions of creative and personal attached to.
Aside from living long years agonizing over his name, Ron managed grow up just this side of sane. Never a very studious person he did manage to become educated both through school and life. Vocationally he is a trained web developer and designer having firmly jumped on that crazy Internet fad of the 90’s. Just like blue jeans and rock & roll, the Internet surely can’t go on forever. On the chance it does go belly up Ron has been preparing himself to advance to the lucrative career of professional writer. Always have a good back-up plan.
When Ron isn’t ensconced in maintaining the integrity of the Internet or being savaged by writer’s block, he’s a family guy living in the hills of West Virginia with his wife, Kelly, and teen-aged daughter, Kassy. Though most of that time is spent in the dog house. Actually he doesn’t have a dog house, but his home does house a dog, Cookie, and four cats: Beanie, Kiki, Colby and Autumn. Ron will probably post pictures of them sometimes on Between … too.
If you’re here about my writing, you will find the frequent old poem or short story through out the blog. Ron is currently working on a SciFi Thriller called TERMINAL.
